Position Summary:
Support kitchen operations by delivering high-quality food preparation, maintaining excellent kitchen standards, and assisting in leading the team to ensure exceptional service and customer satisfaction.
Location: Kalgoorlie, Goldfields & Esperance WA, Australia
Contract Type: Full-time
Salary: AUD $75,000 – $85,000/year
Accommodation: Available (if required)
Visa Sponsorship: Available + pathway to Permanent Residency (DAMA supported)
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations
- Ensure excellent food quality, production, and presentation
- Prepare kitchen workspaces before service
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across kitchen and back areas
- Attend daily kitchen briefings and collaborate with staff
- Supervise kitchen staff when the Head Chef is unavailable
- Maintain professional presentation and customer-focused service
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar chef role
- Experience across grill, pizza, pasta, and desserts (preferred)
- Culinary certificate (Australia or overseas) or equivalent experience
- Strong teamwork, leadership, and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in fast-paced kitchens
