Position Summary

This hands-on leadership role involves managing the daily operations of a commercial dairy herd. You’ll oversee animal health, milking, feeding, and team supervision while maintaining high standards of welfare, hygiene, and productivity on a medium-to-large dairy farm. Ideal for skilled stockpersons looking to advance their career in Australian agriculture with 482 visa employer sponsorship and a pathway to Permanent Residency.

Key Responsibilities

– Manage daily herd operations including feeding, milking, and general care

– Monitor animal health, identify issues, and provide treatment

– Ensure proper nutrition and maintain clean, hygienic housing environments

– Supervise and train junior stockpersons

– Keep accurate records of herd health, production, and inventory

– Assist with breeding and calving

– Maintain equipment and facilities, reporting issues promptly

– Adhere to all safety protocols and best farming practices

What You’ll Bring

– Certificate in Agriculture, Animal Science, Animal Husbandry or higher

– At least 3 years recent relevant experience on a medium-to-large commercial dairy farm

– Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision

– Good communication skills and a valid Driver’s Licence

– English proficiency (PTE 36 / IELTS 5.0 or equivalent is an advantage)

– Experience in Canada, Japan, Denmark, USA, or New Zealand is highly regarded
